Senior Java Developer – MES

RTX

• Build and enhance Manufacturing Execution System (MES) applications used across Pratt & Whitney operations. • Develop Java-based microservices and React front-end features supporting engine manufacturing. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, refine, and scale MES capabilities. • Work in a fast-paced environment delivering modern solutions aligned to Industry 4.0 and IIoT initiatives.

Job Requirements

  • BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering with 10+ years of prior relevant work experience; OR an Advanced Degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or related degree with 7+ years of prior relevant work experience.
  • Java development with Spring Boot, Maven, and Hibernate.
  • React.js (Redux), Node.js, ES6 JavaScript.
  • REST API development and integration.
  • RDBMS experience (Oracle or SQL Server).
  • Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with VS Code, Eclipse, or similar IDEs.
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Understanding of the concepts of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Pattern, JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), and RESTful web services.
  • Skill for writing reusable Java libraries, knowhow of Java concurrency patterns.
  • Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming Patterns and Concepts.
