Supplier Quality Manager

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in food safety or supplier quality within the USDA-FSIS regulated meat and poultry industry. Experience in slaughter or primary processing environments preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of USDA-FSIS regulations is required; working knowledge of FDA food regulations is preferred.
  • Strong experience with HACCP, FSMA, and GFSI-recognized audit schemes.
  • Strong understanding of raw material risk, supplier specifications, and protein variability
  • Familiarity with supplier management systems such as TraceGains or similar.
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence suppliers and drive corrective actions.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently, prioritize effectively, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to travel 50–70%, including domestic and international travel.
