Job Description
Controller
Intrinsic Digital
• Oversee the monthly close process and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting • Review and approve journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations • Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and supporting schedules • Maintain and oversee revenue recognition processes and ensure revenue flows properly through financial reporting systems • Manage and mentor members of the accounting team, providing guidance and support • Manage and review accounts receivable and accounts payable activities • Oversee prepaid schedules, accruals, and other key balance sheet accounts • Support the preparation of financial documentation for tax filings and potential audits • Serve as the primary accounting lead during audit preparation and financial reviews • Develop and improve accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls • Serve as the primary escalation point for accounting questions and financial issues • Partner with the CFO to support financial reporting and operational insights • Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 7 + years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accrual-based accounting, and financial reporting
- Proven experience leading and mentoring accounting teams
- Experience with NetSuite
- Experience managing the monthly close process and financial statement review
- Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and data manipulation
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Ability to work effectively in a remote environment
- CPA preferred but not required
