• Closely collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and execute on data science & data engineering initiatives, setting strategic direction, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and driving continuous improvement • Defines and documents project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders • Devising and adapting strategies for executing on necessary goals • Communicate project status, updates, and key milestones to stakeholders, including senior management. • Develops full-scale project plans and associated project & communication artifacts • Managing the data science backlog and prioritizing them based on evolving requirements • Plans and schedules project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools • Assist in the staffing and assignment of resources based on project needs
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Management Information Systems, Statistics, or related field preferred
- 3+ years of experience in project management, with a focus on data science and/or data engineering projects.
- Proven track record of successfully delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, such as Asana or Jira.
- Hands-on experience with data science tools and technologies, such as Python, SQL, AWS, etc.
- Knowledge of machine learning algorithms and techniques is a plus.
