Area Sales Manager
Silex Microsystems
• Represent Silex Microsystems at international conferences and trade shows, connecting with potential customers and industry partners (approx. two trips per month, mainly across the U.S, to Europe and occasionally to Asia). • Proactively identify, qualify, and pursue high-value business opportunities to expand the customer base and drive growth. • Lead commercial discussions and negotiations, securing agreements with both new and existing customers. • Balance new business development (approx. 20%) with nurturing and growing existing key accounts (approx. 80%). • Develop trust-based partnerships with customers, ensuring alignment between their needs and Silex’s capabilities. • Manage a portfolio of 10–15 key accounts and onboard 2–3 new strategic customers annually, guiding them from concept to production.
Job Requirements
- A university degree in MEMS, microfabrication, or a closely related engineering field.
- Solid technical knowledge of MEMS devices and fabrication processes.
- Practical experience in MEMS manufacturing or wafer-level microfabrication (through work, research, or education).
- A genuine interest in business development and in building a commercial career in advanced technology markets.
- Fearlessness and proactivity when engaging new contacts and senior decision-makers.
- A strong analytical mindset and technical curiosity.
- Excellent communication skills and a relationship-oriented, social personality.
- Commercial awareness and a strong sense of business opportunity.
- Previous experience in technical sales or customer-facing roles is advantageous, as is experience from entrepreneurial environments where agility and ownership are key.

• Drive Growth: Develop and execute strategies to expand ANDRITZ’s Paper & Board Machine business in North America. • Lead Consultative Sales: Engage customers with a solution-oriented approach, translating technical capabilities into business value. • Proposal Leadership: Coordinate with Applied Technology and global teams to prepare accurate, competitive technical and commercial offers. • Strategic Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and industry influencers. • Market Intelligence: Monitor trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to inform strategy and identify opportunities. • Forecasting & Reporting: Provide input on order forecasts, maintain CRM data integrity, and deliver actionable insights to management. • Collaboration: Work closely with global partners to ensure alignment on customer solutions and growth initiatives.
