Job Description

Carrier Operations Coordinator

AGIA Affinity

• Supports carrier relationship management and coordination between AGIA teams and insurance carriers. • Coordinates discussions on contract amendments, reporting, remediation projects, and process improvements. • Liaison between internal AGIA internal departments and Carriers. • Manages and drives assigned projects to completion including project tracking, status reports, and escalation. • Serves as AGIA’s carrier point of contact for reporting, processes changes, and distribution of recurring reports. • Supports Carrier audit preparation and remediation. • Facilitates recurring carrier meetings and works with other depts to gather carrier trends for alignment or improvement.

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of life and health supplemental insurance products, insurance operations, policy administration systems, regulatory reporting and overall audit processes.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, plus active listening.
  • Ability to coordinate and influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders outside of direct reporting lines.
  • Strong organization skills particularly in balancing business priorities, technical constraints, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent time management skills; ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deliver high-quality results under deadlines.
  • Experience in coordinating operational process improvement projects across teams and tracking project impact.
  • Relevant past experience including minimum 3+ years of coordination of cross-functional projects.
  • Preferred prior experience in the life and health insurance industry or business experience with an emphasis on account management or business development within financial services, insurance or a related regulated industry would be desirable.
  • Insurance Industry coursework or certifications (i.e. LOMA, AHIP) are a plus.

Role Description The Member & Recipient Appeals Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the Trillium Medicaid and Non-Medicaid member appeals process, provider appeals, and claims appeals. This includes: - Providing support and information to members and providers seeking to appeal an adverse benefit determination. - Monitoring and maintaining accurate Appeals policies and procedures, member handbooks, and provider manuals based on legal requirements and Tailored Plan requirements. - Maintaining/reporting Medicaid and non-Medicaid member appeal statistics.
