The Product Design and Packaging (PDP) Department at Raytheon is seeking a Principle Systems Engineer to join our team. The selected candidate will perform and/or assist in the performance of identification and tracking obsolescence for defined Bill of Materials (BoMs) during production and sustainment phases. This position will require day to day interface with RTX suppliers, Engineering, and other disciplines. This is a remote based position What You Will Do: - Interface with multiple internal stakeholders and external suppliers/manufacturers - Provide obsolescence engineering support to multiple program integrated product teams (IPT's.) - Review component specifications to determine applicable part requirements - Review procurement history to determine part availability and possible - Utilize internal tools and external subscription services to aid in determining part availability - Updating RTX obsolescence tools to ensure part availability and mitigation data is tracked - Generating obsolescence reports Qualifications You Must Have: - Bachelor of Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) degree and at least 5 years of related experience. - Knowledge of Component MIL drawings, standards, test specifications, and associated QPLs and QMLs - Background / experience with life cycle management and reading and interpreting engineering drawings and hierarchy definition - The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Employees who are working in remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home) but may be expected to travel to the site location as needed. The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
