Professional Services Associate Project Manager

• Simultaneously manage 30-40 smaller-scale implementation projects through their lifecycle • Support queue management for on-hold projects • Develop and maintain project schedules for multiple concurrent implementations • Coordinate daily with clients to gather information, provide updates, and manage expectations • Support technical resources across multiple projects to ensure timely delivery • Track and report project status, risks, and dependencies across the project portfolio • Maintain accurate project documentation and status tracking for numerous concurrent projects • Ensure consistent project delivery standards across multiple smaller implementations

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in IT project coordination or junior PM roles

Role Description Welty Energy is looking for a Senior Substation and Transmission (S&T) Estimator to join our Energy team! As a Senior S&T Estimator, you will create utility project estimates, act as an extension of our client and provide best-in-class service. As the Senior, you will be involved with consulting on select projects as well as providing assistance to the Welty Project Management Team and mentoring junior Estimators. This position can be remote in the mainland United States, operating in ET hours. As a Senior S&T Estimator, you may: - Produce Conceptual New Transmission and Distribution Line Routes on a Google Earth KMZ file with pole placements. - Create preliminary project schedules considering lead times, crews, construction durations, siting etc. - Write Scope of Work for conceptual/pre-funding approval projects. - Work with internal substation layout teams for preliminary substation designs. - Create and review substation and transmission/distribution line estimates using Sage and Navigator software. - Work will involve 25kV-765kV Utility Power Equipment for Line and Substation. - Review/Aide supplemental support estimates such as, but not limited to, access roads, forestry, SCADA/IT network, fiber, testing and commissioning, and related. - Coordinate with other scoping and estimating team members, planning and protection engineering, sponsors, regional contacts and personnel from the supplemental support estimate staff. - Attend regional meetings with planning, protection and other stakeholders to review the status of all open estimates. - Review/approve/reject estimate requests in OPPM. - Build accurate project schedule timelines for substation, transmission line and support estimates. Qualifications - High school or GED required. - Bachelor’s degree in engineering or similar technical degree is advantageous. - 8+ years of experience in transmission line design, substation design, or utility estimating, specifically focused on Substation and Transmission work. - Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, specifically within Excel. Requirements - Ability to effectively manage a high-volume workload while communicating efficiently and effectively with internal and external clients. - Solid understanding of engineering design/drawing packages.
