As Senior Claims Adjuster you will have responsibility for progressing a caseload or project to an effective and satisfactory conclusion for clients. Ensuring high levels of service delivery, both internally and externally, whilst maintaining management information under the terms of the client service level agreement. This role offers remote working but may include travel to a local office for clients or team meetings. Responsibilities - Awareness of relevant client strategies and ensure implementation on cases / projects; - To research solutions to problems/issues on cases / projects to develop your own technical knowledge; - To deliver revenue for the team through existing business activity and developing own professional network; - To be proactive in problem solving on cases through identifying potential issues and solutions, always adding value to the case / project; - Proactively manage individual claims from first advice to closure, investing the necessary level of expertise required for each claim; - Follow at all times any applicable client claims reserving philosophy and claims standards, including adherence to contractual service standards; - To demonstrate the Firm's Winning Behaviours, delivering a commitment to the firms values and CSR agenda What will help you succeed in this role? Maintains an understanding of the most current contract language in order to consistently ensure reimbursement in accordance with contract language. Continually maintains knowledge of payer specific updates via payer’s listservs, provider updates, webinars, meetings, and websites. Review payer’s settlements for correct reimbursement and proceed with contact to insurer if claim is not adjudicated correctly based on working knowledge of the various payer’s policies and each individual related contract. Identifies and analyzes denials and payment variances and enacts corrective measures as needed to effectively communicate and resolve payer errors. Understands and maintains compliance with HIPAA guidelines when handling patient information. Position Overview We are seeking a Claims Analyst II to examine and process both paper and electronic healthcare claims.
