Job Description BAE Systems is seeking a Technical Lead to support the Navy DoD Supercomputing Resource Center (DSRC), a key national asset within the High-Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP). This role provides day-to-day technical leadership across the DSRC's IT and HPC environment, ensuring stable operations, effective coordination among technical teams, and alignment with HPCMP modernization priorities. The selected candidate will partner closely with the Site Lead, Team Leads, BAE leadership, and government stakeholders to integrate efforts across systems, networking, cybersecurity, HPC operations, and user support. The position plays a central role in driving technical planning, resolving complex issues, and supporting both near-term operational needs and long-term DSRC strategy. This position serves as a manager and will have direct reports. #LI-VW1 #LI-Onsite Required Education, Experience, & Skills - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline (or equivalent relevant experience). - 10+ years of progressive IT experience across systems administration, networking, cybersecurity, HPC operations, or enterprise infrastructure. - 3+ years of technical leadership experience, including coordinating or leading multi-disciplinary technical teams. - Demonstrated ability to manage technical projects, coordinate across teams, develop timelines, and provide accurate status updates. - Broad hands-on understanding of enterprise IT infrastructure, including Windows and Linux systems, networking fundamentals, virtualizations, and security best practices. - Certifications: DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+ CE or equivalent) and an OS certification (e.g., Linux+, RHCSA, Windows Server certification). A 90-day waiver may be granted to obtain the OS certification after hire. - Extensive Linux and leadership experience Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field. - Experience supporting high-performance computing (HPC) environments, including cluster operations, workload/job scheduling (e.g., Slurm, PBS Pro), or large-scale compute infrastructure. - Familiarity with AI-driven monitoring, predictive analytics, automation platforms, or enterprise observability tools (e.g., Splunk ITSI, ServiceNow AIOps). - Experience with DoD cybersecurity requirements, including RMF, STIGs, audit readiness, and POA&M management. - Prior experience supporting Navy, HPCMP, or another DoD Supercomputing Resource Center. - Demonstrated ability to develop technical strategies, lead modernization initiatives, and brief complex technical topics to government leadership. Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $122400 - $208080 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience. What You’ll Do - Technical Partnership & Advisory: You will act as a trusted technical advisor to assigned enterprise accounts, developing a comprehensive understanding of their business objectives, technical architecture, and implementation roadmap.
