This is a hybrid role based out of our office in NYC. The candidate should be comfortable visiting the office twice a week once the development center is established. What You'll Do: - Assist our decision makers by gathering insights that help us improve our products or give us hints on areas where we need to put additional focus on. - Translate business questions from Product and Engineering into clear metrics, models, and visualizations. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and track product KPIs tied to adoption, engagement, performance, and customer outcomes. - Design and implement reliable, scalable data pipelines to ingest and transform product usage and adoption data. - Manage various data sources, creating Extract-Transform-Load (ETL) solutions, and designing data models based on latest technologies and best practices. - Significant role in defining the data architecture and helping various stakeholders to translate product questions into measurable metrics and KPIs. - Proactivity, self-learning capabilities and communication are crucial. - End-to-end ownership of the data pipeline, from data collection to meaningful presentation of the defined metrics. - Develop ETL jobs to gather data from multiple sources and provide insights into various product areas. - Build data warehouses where large amounts of metrics and data will be stored. - Interact with many product groups within the organization to help define business questions and help transform those to metrics. - Develop and maintain data visualizations that effectively communicate data insights to stakeholders. - Implement data visualization tools to support the requirements and help present various metrics in a clear and consistent manner. - Participate in configuring and receiving uptime alerts related to the services you control. - Keeping services up and running in a healthy state, including optimization of their performance and stability. - Develop automations for data validation to ensure data integrity and consistency over time. What You'll Need: - Must be eligible for CJIS clearance (typically requires U.S. citizenship or permanent residency). - 5+ years of experience in a data-centric role (Data Analyst, Data Engineer, or hybrid). - Ability to translate business needs into scalable, trustworthy data solutions. - Experience of architecting data pipelines - data ingestions, ETLs, reporting and visualizations - Experience extracting data from large data systems. LogScale preferred. - Experience programming in at least one object-oriented programming language, featuring strong types. Python or Golang preferred. - Experience developing and consuming RESTful API web services. - Experience interacting with major cloud provider APIs to provision cloud infrastructure, and to monitor it - Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, Google Cloud (GCP) and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI). - Experience using RDBMS databases, such as Postgres, and accompanying knowledge of SQL. - Experience with data modeling and Extract-Transform-Load (ETL). - Experience with data visualization tools and infrastructures to create insightful reports and dashboards. Tableau preferred. - Proficiency in using Claude code to build AI-powered reports aggregating data from disparate sources. Role Description As a Data Engineer, you are a technically rigorous and innovation-minded professional responsible for designing, building, and evolving the data pipelines, migration frameworks, and integration systems that power Aeries implementations.
