• Play a key role in the production and video editing of Fireship’s YouTube content to increase the quantity and variety of output, contributing to the growth and engagement of the audience. • Proactively source, select and import relevant media elements (videos, images) to elevate scripts and voice overs into dynamic video content. • Collaborate closely with creators and scriptwriters to ensure alignment with the overall storytelling vision, while demonstrating initiative and producing high-quality work that meets expectations. • Maintain organised project files and documentation to ensure easy access to assets and seamless collaboration with team members. • Keep up to date with internet culture and news from the tech world.

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in video editing, with a strong editorial portfolio that demonstrates expertise in digital content creation, particularly for YouTube and short form video that tells a story with archive images.
  • Confident use of keyframe animation for ‘faceless’ video content.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring consistency in the use of fonts, colors, styles, and visual elements as per the Fireship brand, while elevating the production value.
  • Experience working with programming or tech-related content is highly desirable, with the ability to understand complex topics and break them down into digestible, engaging video formats.
  • A passion for technology, programming, and digital content creation, with a keen interest in staying up-to-date on industry trends and best practices.
  • YouTube is your primary source of media for education and entertainment, such that you have an innate ability to craft YouTube videos that maximise engagement and audience retention.
