Polling Manager

BlueLabs

Role Description The Polling Manager will be responsible for preparing and programming survey questionnaires, pulling samples, designing survey weights, and QCing data. The ideal candidate has a passion for collaborating in all aspects of polling to help our clients better understand their needs, and utilizing data to help inform decisions and strategic plans. The Polling Manager will report to the Lead Polling Manager and work closely with the Director of Polling to continuously refine the team’s polling processes to keep up with the latest innovations and challenges. In this position you will: - Work cross-functionally with the BlueLabs project teams to design our polling solutions. - Oversee the polling process from end-to-end, including programming survey questionnaires, pulling samples, tracking and monitoring surveys while in the field, and weighting the results. - Help to prepare and deliver client deliverables such as toplines and crosstabs. - Coordinate with team members on experiments, modeling, and other analytics surveys. - Collaborate with our Data Science team on polling methodology and work to improve our operations and polling processes. - Work with the Director of Polling to suggest and implement polling process improvements and keep a pulse on new innovations in the industry. - Help oversee relevant vendor relationships; regularly interact with and evaluate our vendors. - Other duties as assigned. Qualifications - You likely have at least a Bachelor’s degree and a few years of experience working with survey data. - Experience working in the polling field is a particularly strong bonus. - You understand how to distill requests down to the most important points and find the most relevant information in a sea of facts. - You are a stickler for detail and ensuring each element of the process gets done right. - You’re able to conduct a data analysis on tight deadlines where the problem is unstructured, or the guidance is open ended. - You have experience with programming languages such as SQL, R, and/or Python. - You can manipulate data and are comfortable working with spreadsheets. - You are passionate about harnessing data-driven solutions to improve social outcomes.
