QA Automation Intern
Nucleus Security
Role Description This internship is designed as a learning-focused, project-based experience for undergraduate students. The QA Automation Intern will work on a defined project centered on automated testing of the Nucleus Security Application. Under close supervision and mentorship, the intern will learn foundational software testing concepts while contributing to a real-world application used by enterprise customers. Throughout the internship, you will: - Work on one or more well-scoped QA automation initiatives under the guidance of a mentor. - Contribute to the automated test suite, improve test reliability and coverage, and gain hands-on experience. - Present to the engineering team what you automated, the challenges you addressed, the improvements made to the test suite, and what you learned about quality assurance and automation in a SaaS environment. - Receive regular mentorship, structured guidance, and feedback throughout the internship to support learning and skill development. Qualifications - Currently enrolled in a college or university program with plans to graduate on or before June 2027. - Majoring in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. - Completion of introductory coursework in programming, information systems, or software engineering. - Previous internship, co-op, or equivalent experience in QA, Software Engineering or related field. - Ability to communicate clearly, strong attention to detail and willingness to learn. - Due to business and regulatory requirements, we are only able to hire U.S. citizens. Requirements - Experience in usability, data accuracy, or software quality. - Understanding of automated testing principles. - Familiarity with Java and Selenium or other automated testing frameworks. - Exposure to cybersecurity or SaaS platforms. - Experience on an Agile Software team.
