Systems Engineer
Mercor
Role Description - Develop back-end services and workflows for fleet management and full server lifecycle, including: - network boot - firmware updates - OS provisioning - Create out-of-band server management tools in a multi-vendor environment, focusing on state management and telemetry collection. - Write and review code, test changes on hardware, and automate testing processes. - Troubleshoot end-to-end issues in provisioning, firmware updates, and network boot processes. Qualifications - 3+ years of experience in TCP/IP network fundamentals. - Proficiency in Linux systems and server systems management. - Experience in troubleshooting server network boot processes from both network and server perspectives. - Skills in coding and scripting automation using: - Python - Go - Rust - Bash - Ruby - Experience with automating management of large fleets of server hardware using Redfish or IPMI. - Proven troubleshooting analytics of server/systems architecture and components. - Familiarity with Kubernetes, Docker, and/or cloud deployment technologies. - Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a relevant field.
