Software Engineer IV – Data Collection and Engineering
Mercor
Role Description - Develop software to integrate cutting-edge prototype devices into the data collection platform. - Enhance the efficiency, reliability, and accuracy of the data collection process. - Deploy, test, and evaluate upgrades to the data collection platform. - Build and maintain systems for monitoring system health and data validation. - Collaborate with engineers and researchers to promote best practices and resolve issues. - Work onsite to debug problems and perform root cause analyses. Qualifications - Must-Have: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience. - 6+ years of professional programming experience. - Full stack software development experience. - Proficiency in Python, Linux, and shell scripting. - Experience with cross-platform distributed (RESTful) systems. - CI/CD experience with Github or GitLab. - Preferred: - Experience with hardware multimedia sensors. - Knowledge of audio, image, and video formats. - Experience with relational and graph/NoSQL databases. - Knowledge of React or similar frontend frameworks. - Experience with containerization and container orchestration.
