About the role BSI is seeking a motivated and detail oriented EHS Technology Consultant to support the design and delivery of technology-enabled Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) solutions. This role is ideal for a technically curious and client-focused professional who enjoys working at the intersection of EHS, data, and software systems. You will support clients in enhancing their EHS programs through modern tools, automation, and system optimization. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams and client stakeholders to configure systems, improve workflows, and ensure high-quality data and reporting. You will play a key role in helping organizations modernize and scale their EHS programs through technology. Key responsibilities - Support clients in assessing, configuring, and optimizing EHS software systems and digital workflows - Assist in the design and implementation of technology-enabled EHS solutions, including automation and reporting tools - Maintain and validate project and system data, ensuring accuracy and quality control - Translate business needs into technical solutions and communicate recommendations clearly to stakeholders - Collaborate with internal teams and client partners to deliver successful project outcomes - Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service delivery What we’re looking for - 3 to 5 years of experience in EHS consulting, software implementation, or technical project support - Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or a related field - Strong problem-solving skills with high attention to detail - Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences - Experience with SaaS platforms, system configuration, or digital tools - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office tools - Knowledge of EHS management systems and regulatory environments - Experience with SQL, Power BI, or data visualization tools - Familiarity with databases such as relational or JSON structures - Exposure to Python, automation tools, or scripting - Experience working in client facing or consulting environments What we offer BSI offers a competitive salary, group-sponsored health and dental, short-term and long-term disability, a company-matched 401k plan, company paid life insurance, 11 paid holidays and 4 weeks paid time off. The salary for this position can range from $88,000 to $105,000 annually; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget and internal peer compensation comparisons. • Consult with customers to identify goals and solutions and develop implementation strategies. • Engage with customers on their strategic direction for sustainability, including understanding their ambitions and context and advising on targets and potential improvement levers. • Translate for customers the sustainability impacts of WM services and solutions into language and frameworks that matter to senior company leaders and investors. • Perform full organization sustainability assessments. • Analyze assessment results and consult with customer to identify, design, and guide implementation of environmental sustainability initiatives and cost saving opportunities and proposals. • Prepare final reports, including environmental, social, and economic analysis, and present conclusions to the customer in a timely manner. • Assess procurement and waste management activities and draft comprehensive materials management plans focused on waste reduction and diversion. • Facilitate materiality assessments for sports venue customers and use results to guide strategic planning. • Integrate environmental justice priorities into program development. • Research and advise on the selection and implementation of greenhouse gas emissions and environmental impact reduction strategies. • Design project schedules, maintain multiple projects at the same time, meet deadlines and deliver quality deliverables. • Analyze data sets, baseline data, and assessment findings to identify improvement opportunities. • Prepare final reports and presentations and deliver conclusions to the customer in a manner that fits their needs and in a timely fashion. • Ensure compliance with customer and government regulations when performing assessments, implementing programs, and managing other on-site functions. • Promote culture of safety by ensuring site personnel are properly trained to perform assigned duties and comply with safety, environmental, federal, state, and local regulations. • Propose customer solutions that are compliant with appropriate local, state and federal regulations. • Maintain communications and a close working relationship with key WM Market Area personnel. • Self-educate on current sustainability topics, issues, and trends. • Responsible for organizing and interpreting data.
