HOW A NETWORK INFRASTRUCTURE SR MANAGER MAKES AN IMPACT At GDIT a Network Infrastructure/Task Order Implementation Lead provides operational leadership and oversight for the IT modernization effort during planning, design, and implementation phases for multiple Air Force and Space Force bases globally. The Task Order Implementation Lead will remotely oversee the implementation effort at these bases and will have the responsibility to provide management, schedule, direction, administration and quality assurance in its execution. The Network Infrastructure/Task Order Implementation Lead is required to provide overall leadership and guidance for the site implementation personnel assigned to the TO, including assigning task implementation resources, assessing progress and performance, and interfacing with customer stakeholders. Primary Responsibilities: - Directs, coordinates and oversees overall implementation functions for all sites. - Act as the key point of contact for base engagements, ensuring clear communication and alignment of expectations. Proactively manage customer relationships and addressing feedback and resolving issues in a timely manner. - Evaluates overall implementation effort to improve efficiency and effectiveness. - Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks at site including technical work, financial and business development activities. - Supervises assigned technical and administrative staff, including subordinate supervisors, and performs personnel actions including hiring and performance evaluation. - Assures quality of program products, services, and deliverables, including participating in reviews, audits, and site visits. - Supports the profitability and revenue growth of assigned program control accounts. - Develops/reviews plans, schedules, consulting agreements and other program documents. - Monitors sub-contractor activities and administers subcontractor deliverables and finances for assigned control accounts. - Ensures compliance with relevant corporate and government policies and standards. WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED: - Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institute in an area applicable to this position. Equivalent years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. - Adept at interfacing with Government at senior leader levels and representing the interests of GDIT - Clear early history of hands on work with cabling, infrastructure construction and implementation of networking on a program - Previous experience as an Network/Telecom Implementation lead - Has managed 2-3 subordinate managers who oversee a larger organization/team of 100+ people - Required Experience: 5+ years of increasing responsibilities working large programs and leading large teams - Preferred background in the military with familiarity in navigating military bases - Required Technical Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills applied to the development and presentation of technical materials appropriate to a broad spectrum of audiences. - Network infrastructure design and installation experience - Extremely familiar with Excel (formulas, creating sheets) - Security Clearance Level: DoD Secret Level Clearance required - Preferred Skills: Background in EVM (earn value management) performance reporting monitoring and metric development. - Certifications: BICSI RCDD highly preferred (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) - Location: Must reside in OKC, remote GDIT IS YOUR PLACE: - 401K with company match - Comprehensive health and wellness packages - Internal mobility team dedicated to helping you own your career - Professional growth opportunities including paid education and certifications - Cutting-edge technology you can learn from - Rest and recharge with paid vacation and holidays The likely salary range for this position is $136,850 - $185,150. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range. The Role The Operations Technician III will work within Lumen's Professional Services Control Center (PSCC). This role requires a high level of technical expertise in handling complex assignments related to network systems troubleshooting, isolation, and/or maintenance activities.
