Role Description The Advancement Domain Leader is a senior industry leader who partners with Attain to advance thought leadership, content creation, and market insight in the Advancement sector. This strategic leader will bring deep functional expertise to key projects by building executive relationships, establishing Attain Partners as an Advancement SME, and sharing advancement insights during implementation to enable ultimate customer success. This role is ideal for a respected practitioner or executive with a strong point of view on identified business challenges, organizational leadership, digital modernization, and data-driven transformation. The Advancement Domain Leader will collaborate closely with Attain’s leadership, marketing, and digital teams to produce impactful content, represent Attain in industry forums, and help identify emerging opportunities that shape future offerings and market strategy. Job Responsibilities - Share advancement best practices in the areas of advancement services, development, prospect research, and elsewhere. - Serve as a visible industry authority in Advancement business functions, digital transformation, and innovation. - Develop and publish high-value thought leadership content, including articles, blogs, white papers, and commentary. - Represent Attain Partners as a speaker at industry conferences, webinars, and forums. - Elevate the Attain Digital brand and expand its presence across the market sector. - Strengthen Attain’s credibility as a trusted advisor to mission-driven organizations. - Contribute insights that resonate with industry executives, boards, and senior leaders. - Identify emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities within the market landscape. - Provide perspective that informs Attain’s market strategy, service development, and go-to-market approach. - Advise on new and evolving service offerings, including both technology-enabled and non-technology solutions. - Collaborate closely with the business development team to shape the present and future of each client relationship, ensuring that clients understand Attain Partners’ unique value. - Consult generally on Advancement topics to help fundraising institutions and foundations assess organizational structure, resourcing needs, fundraising best practices, technology opportunities, and other areas not directly related to the implementation of CRM. Qualifications - A strong track record with at least 15 years of experience working in advancement with or at a U.S. based University. - At least 5 years of experience as an executive in a higher education institution with direct responsibility for delivering advancement-focused customer relationship management (CRM) solutions. - Education: Bachelor’s required. Master’s degree preferred. - Defined experience deploying Salesforce-based solutions including CRM, Marketing Cloud, and others. - Experience with Kindsight/ascend or Affiniquest strongly preferred.
