This position is a key member of the Total Rewards team and is expected to take a proactive, continuous-improvement approach to L3Harris’ compensation policies, processes, and designs. This role requires strong analytical and strategic thinking skills to translate data into actionable insights and recommendations that support business objectives, enhance employee experience, and drive a pay-for-performance culture. This position will collaborate with the MSL segment Compensation team, the corporate Compensation team, Human Resource Business Partners, the People Analytics team, as well as sector business leaders to execute compensation programs (base and incentive pay), ensure compliant and best-in-class practices, and reinforce policies and practices that align with L3Harris’ goals and competitive practices. Essential Functions: - Partner with HR team members and leadership to provide compensation and consulting services; reinforcing the company’s overall compensation philosophy with all recommendations made. - Lead annual compensation processes in the segment, such as merit, short-term and long-term incentive programs aligned with budget and performance goals. - Perform detailed analysis, interpret results, then recommend and implement measures to meet business needs. - Perform job analysis, position evaluation and grading to ensure internal titling, leveling and mapping within the segment is consistent and compliant, as well as to ensure equity and market competitiveness. - Represent segment on company-wide compensation-related improvement initiatives and projects as needed. - Identify and execute process improvement opportunities within the MSL Total Rewards space. - Manage complex projects and initiatives or serve on project teams representing MSL Total Rewards focusing on various HR operational and compliance topics; collaborate with appropriate teams to understand strategy while providing comprehensive impact analysis and recommendations. - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local pay regulations governing compensation practices and proactively reviews legislation or market changes. - Act as a key business partner, interfacing regularly with: sector leadership team, Finance, Contracts and Legal as well as within the HR function. Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree with 9 years prior experience, Graduate Degree with 7 years prior experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. Preferred Additional Skills: - World at Work Certification(s) or Master’s degree preferred. - Prior executive compensation experience preferred. - High attention to detail with a compliance mindset and data accuracy - Demonstrated ability to analyze data, model outcomes, and present recommendations to senior leadership. - Advanced proficiency in Excel; must be able to effectively use excel for reporting and data analysis (Pivot Tables, X-Lookups, If-statements, and advanced formulas) - Knowledge of HRIS Systems such as SuccessFactors or PeopleSoft is preferred, and market pricing tools such as WTW, Mercer, or BetterComp - Ability to balance strategic thinking and business accumen with hands-on execution. - Strong customer service, presentation, multi-tasking and prioritization skills. - Collaborative team player with the ability to influence across functions. - Ability to travel. In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $91,500 - $170,500. For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State, New Jersey, and New York City, the salary range for this role is $105,500 - $196,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. Description The Total Rewards Specialist supports the administration and coordination of compensation, benefits, and incentive programs within the HR Operations Center of Excellence (COE).
