Role Description We are currently seeking a Technical Director who will oversee all engineering across Devoted’s co-development projects. You’ll be responsible for technical strategy, execution quality, engineering leadership, and scalable systems that support multiple concurrent client partnerships. You’ll act as the senior technical authority both internally and with external partners. Key Responsibilities: - Technical Strategy & Vision - Define and execute the company’s long-term technology roadmap aligned with business and product goals. - Evaluate, select, and evolve game engines, tools, pipelines, and infrastructure. - Stay ahead of emerging technologies, platforms, and industry trends. - Engineering Leadership - Lead and mentor engineering, tools, and infrastructure teams. - Establish best practices for coding standards, architecture, testing, and documentation. - Build a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement. - Game Technology & Architecture - Oversee design of scalable, maintainable, and high-performance game architectures. - Ensure efficient integration between gameplay, engine, tools, backend, and live-ops systems. - Guide optimization for performance, memory, and platform compliance. - Production & Delivery - Partner with Product, Design, Art, and Production to ensure smooth development pipelines. - Balance technical quality with delivery timelines. - Identify risks and proactively implement solutions. - Infrastructure & Operations - Oversee backend services, cloud infrastructure, build systems, and deployment pipelines. - Ensure reliability, scalability, security, and cost efficiency. - Hiring & Talent Development - Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent. - Define career paths and growth plans for technical staff. - Stakeholder Communication - Translate technical concepts into clear business language for executives and partners. - Support investor and partner discussions when needed. Qualifications - 10+ years of experience in software engineering, with significant experience in game development. - 5+ years in a technical leadership role (Director, VP Engineering, or CTO). - Strong understanding of game engines (e.g., Unreal Engine, Unity). - Expertise in C++, C#, or other relevant game programming languages. - Experience shipping multiple commercial games across PC, console, and/or mobile. - Strong knowledge of software architecture, networking, graphics pipelines, and optimization. - Proven ability to build and lead high-performing technical teams. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with live-service games and online infrastructure. - Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP). - Familiarity with automation pipelines. - Experience working in multi-studio or distributed team environments. • Developing and executing a regional vision for impact that advances policies that protect the air, water, land, and democracy in Southwest Ohio • Advocate for carbon reduction strategies and collaborate with local governments and community partners • Building and maintaining authentic relationships with key partners, local opinion leaders, elected officials, and business leaders • Organizing and attending community events and meetings to build the OEC’s presence in Southwest Ohio • Coordinating engagement between OEC’s policy experts and external coalition partners • Taking a leadership role in local coalitions when needed • Monitoring and managing a regional budget for cost optimization • Understanding and working within the political landscape to build relationships and advance the agenda.

• Lead and advance a portfolio of quality measurement initiatives • Provide executive leadership across multi-year projects • Set the technical and strategic direction for quality measurement work • Oversee measure development and maintenance • Identify emerging measurement needs • Partner with senior leadership to pursue new opportunities

• Own the end-to-end promotions strategy across the customer lifecycle: • Acquisition offers • Retention and reactivation promotions • Loyalty and VIP programs • Seasonal and event-based offers • Enterprise-wide promotional initiatives • Design promotional mechanics including bonuses, credits, multipliers, free-to-play incentives, and custom offers • Define offer guardrails to balance growth, engagement, and profitability • Partner with Analytics and CRM teams to: • Segment customers based on behavior, value, and lifecycle stage • Deliver personalized, behavior-driven offers • Suppress offers to unprofitable or incentive-abusing cohorts • Own promotional cost modeling, forecasting, and performance analysis • Ensure flawless execution across platforms and channels • Design and run structured A/B and multivariate tests on offer types, value levels, eligibility rules, timing and frequency.
