This role ensures projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while leading and developing a team of electricians. Minimum Requirements: ⢠Education/Experience: Completion of an electrical apprenticeship or equivalent work experience (approx. 8,000 hours). ⢠Travel: 60â75% of the time. ⢠Work Schedule: Typically between 6:00 am and 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Hours may vary depending on project needs and can include nights, weekends, and holidays. Key Responsibilities: ⢠Maintain current licensing, certifications, and training requirements. ⢠Lead and manage medium-sized projects (5â10 electricians) effectively. ⢠Set clear expectations and motivate crews to meet or exceed goals. ⢠Ensure all projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. ⢠Complete required paperwork accurately and promptly (foreman logs, performance evaluations, purchase orders, time cards, etc.). ⢠Manage resources efficiently, including tools, equipment, and staffing. ⢠Read and interpret project estimates with support from project management or superintendent. ⢠Provide regular feedback and coaching to crew members. ⢠Conduct thorough on-site risk assessments and enforce workplace safety procedures, including safety audits and toolbox talks. ⢠Mentor and develop team members actively. ⢠Collaborate with internal resources across departments such as pre-construction, engineering, estimating, and productivity teams. ⢠Maintain compliance with company policies and ensure proper documentation of corrective actions when necessary. ⢠Foster strong customer relationships through effective problem-solving. ⢠Participate in hiring, referral, and mentoring initiatives as appropriate. ⢠Perform additional duties as assigned. Role Description The Department of Revenue's (DOR) Compliance Division is looking for an instinctive individual to fill a Revenue Agent 2 in-training to a Revenue Agent 2 vacancy on the Tax Discovery Team, located in Yakima, WA. The hiring manager may start screening applicants as early as March 17, 2026, and make a hiring decision at any time after. It will be to your advantage to submit materials as soon as possible. During the first few months, you will receive hands-on training in the office although telework may also be available. The details will be worked out between you and your supervisor. If hired at the Revenue Agent 2 in-training level, your pay will be within the salary range 45 ($3910.00 - $5241.00). The salary for a RA2 is range 50 ($4410.00 - $5929.00). For the next 18 months, you will: - Perfect your communication skills, ability to negotiate, and other investigative methods in resolving revenue collection activities on delinquent accounts. - Provide advice, instruction, and training to a diverse customer base. Other responsibilities include: - Independently identifying, investigating, registering, and assessing avoided or evaded excise and/or use taxes from unregistered businesses, and owners of vehicles, vessels, aircraft, and other types of personal property. - Comprehending and utilizing complex state tax laws (RCW) and rules (WAC), tax interpretation letters, orders of determination, and departmental policies and procedures to resolve questions, concerns, and objections. - Composing appeal responses that serve as legal briefs summarizing the Department’s case in tax appeals with minimal supervision. - Taking collection action against non-compliant taxpayers, which can include tax warrants, bank/wage garnishments, and revocation of business registration certificates. - Conducting fieldwork and investigation on delinquent accounts at taxpayer places of business, job sites, and residences. - Continuously recording contact histories and taxpayer information throughout the entire process on appropriate agency systems. - Assisting taxpayers/representatives with business registration, guidance on completing tax returns, and contacting other agencies when appropriate. A Sr. Indirect Tax Analyst will work in a challenging, fast-paced, and dynamic team environment, supporting the indirect tax and business license compliance processes, and assist the direct tax team as needed.This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Tax.
