Role Description We are looking for instructors to teach in our Masters Electronics Engineering Technology programs. This would be an ideal position for an Electronics Engineering professional. No prior teaching experience is needed; we provide training, mentoring, and ongoing faculty support. Our terms are five weeks long and offer faculty the perfect environment in which to share their specific industry experiences to help students achieve learning outcomes. Candidates must be available evenings and weekends to support our busy adult learners. Qualifications - Doctoral degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or in a related field with 18 graduate semester hours in the discipline from a regionally accredited educational institution. - Familiarity with Multisim and Labview software; experience with Siemens and Allen-Bradley PLCs. - Familiarity with CAD software. - 3-5 years industry experience in an electrical and/or manufacturing engineering field required; 7+ years career industry experience preferred. - Industry experience must be within the last 5 years. - Mechatronics candidates should have a strong background in control systems, instrumentation and measurements, and mechanical systems. - Appropriate technical certification or licensure (if required). - Experience in any of the following areas: - Analog & Digital Electronics - Programmable Logic Controllers - Microcontrollers - Field Programmable Logic Arrays, FPGAs - Communication Systems - Robotics & Smart Manufacturing - Machine Learning - Computer Aided Drafting & Design - Engineering Mechanics Requirements - The highest levels of integrity at all times. - Ability to quickly build connections with students using strong interpersonal skills (including approachability and empathy). - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to work in a 5-week accelerated course environment. - Comfortable being first point of contact to troubleshoot software or technical concerns for students. - Reliable high-speed internet required. - Responsible for supplying your own windows-based computer and webcam. - Your computer system must pass the ECPI University minimum requirements test. - Required to teach one live session each week and hold one live office hour per week via Zoom. • Lead and support tool migrations, upgrades and updates, ensuring minimal or no downtime and data integrity during maintenance windows. Conduct regular health checks and maintenance tasks to keep the platform running smoothly. • Stay current with Atlassian product updates, ecosystem changes, and industry best practices. Evaluate, install, and configure Jira plugins, Confluence macros, and integrations to extend the platform's capabilities and integrate with other tools in the technology stack. Perform Jira frond-end administrative tasks as needed. • Implement and enforce security measures to safeguard data and ensure compliance with data protection regulations and internal policies. • Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for Jira and Confluence. Document backup and recovery processes and train relevant staff members. • Investigate, troubleshoot and fix issues related to Atlassian tools and database servers. • Monitor system performance and usage, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to ensure optimal system performance and reliability. • Ensure all applicable security policies and processes are followed to support the organization's secure software development goals.

• Serve as a technical advisor and subject matter expert during construction, commissioning, and operation of renewable energy sites (PV, Wind, and BESS). • Support daily operations, maintain, and troubleshoot SCADA, networking, and control systems. • Collaborate with the operations team to strengthen the organization's technical capabilities. • Design, implement, and oversee SCADA systems for renewable energy sites in collaboration with vendors. • Program HMIs, RTUs, switches, firewalls and other field devices. • Create and review document submittals, such as network design drawings, controls narratives, and test plans. • Track project progress and provide updates on project activities. • Ensure compliance with all market and interconnection control requirements. • Implement and maintain cybersecurity best practices for SCADA and operational technology environments. • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that may arise during daily operations activities. • Participate in a rotational on-call schedule to respond to emergent SCADA and control issues outside of regular hours. • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by documenting lessons learned, developing standards, and proposing enhancements to SCADA and controls infrastructure.
