Sales Planning Manager

Role Description We’re looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Sales Planner to support our Sales and Commercial teams in managing trade spend, driving forecast accuracy, and analyzing performance across our food and beverage portfolio. This role is instrumental in helping us grow profitably by ensuring our promotional plans are optimized and aligned with both internal goals and customer expectations. You will work cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to support planning cycles, analyze trade performance, and drive process improvements that enhance forecast accuracy and trade return on investment. Location: Fully Remote, but if local to Chicago, IL will observe a hybrid schedule in office 3 days a week. Salary range: $65,000 - $72,000 based on experience, qualifications, and skills. Requirements - Develop and maintain sales forecasts by customer, channel, and product line, working closely with Sales and Sales Development. - Support the planning, tracking, and evaluation of trade promotions, ensuring alignment with sales targets and brand strategies. - Maintain accuracy in the trade promotion management (TPM) system, including promotion entry, accrual tracking, and deduction reconciliation. - Analyze promotional effectiveness and provide actionable insights to improve ROI on trade spend. - Collaborate on the development of annual customer plans, including volume targets, promotional calendars, and investment budgets. - Partner with clients to ensure accuracy of trade accruals and support monthly and quarterly close processes. - Work closely with the clients to ensure demand plans align with operational capabilities and inventory goals. - Support reporting and performance tracking dashboards for internal and external stakeholders. The Financial Analytics team is responsible for shaping how the department interacts with data to gain insight into our financials and make data-driven decisions. As an Anaplan Model Builder Analyst, you will be in a lead model builder capacity, within a project team, requiring autonomy and navigation of internal/external stakeholder partnerships. You will play a meaningful role in developing our next generation planning process through Anaplan. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining Anaplan models to support various business functions. You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs and translate them into Anaplan models.
