Billing Specialist

Prosek Partners

• Process invoices and monthly retainers including applicable credit memos. • Issue monthly customer statements to aid collection. • Ensure that all billable expenses are properly invoiced and reconcile any discrepancies. • Set up accrued revenue journal entries for invoices unable to post at month-end closes. • Support Client Accounting Manager daily to ensure that all processes related to billing are done effectively and in a timely • Review and post all accounts receivable entries for both invoicing and credits memos. • Update the customer master file with proper contact • Apply customer payments to close out open invoices. • Support Senior Accountant when needed to ensure that all daily collections are processed and posted properly for commissions due. • Prepare any reporting requirements and ad-hoc projects as needed.

Job Requirements

  • 3+ years of billing
  • Public Relations or Legal / Law Firm related billing experience is required.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Experience with basic accounting and data entry.
  • Detail-oriented with a customer service approach and attitude to problem-solving.
  • Proficient with Excel program.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new processes.
  • Well organized with ability to prioritize.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance or related
