Job Description

Senior Controls Systems Engineer

SRSI (Slate River Systems, Inc.)

• Design and implement MHE controls systems. • Develop standard controls hardware offerings such as Electrical Drawing Sets; Control Cabinets; Field Enclosures; Scanners, Scales, Profilers; Vision systems; Industrial Ethernet and Machine Communications; and Power Distribution. • Assist Project Engineering with Pre-Sales Support; Lead Hardware and Software Tech reviews; Hardware Design, PLC Software, SCADA Design and Emulation; Field Commissioning; and Final Acceptance. • Acts as a subject matter expert in hardware design/Mechanical Design as it relates to Controls systems.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, or related field with industry experience in controls engineering.
  • 5+ Years of controls engineering experience directly related to material handling (Case/Poly Conveyor, Sortation Systems, Pallet Conveyor, AGVs, ASRS)
  • Must have experience with communication to WCS systems
  • Experience with Emulation packages such as Emulate3D
  • Experience with Industrial Ethernet Applications
  • Experience with Power distribution, FLA Calculations, and Efficiency Calculations
  • Experience working with cross disciplinary project teams
  • Experience with Designing Control Systems and hardware following NFPA and UL
  • Experience with Safety Standard such as ISO13849
  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Proficient in AutoDesk applications, mainly AutoCAD.
  • Demonstrable strong expertise with PLC programing in Rockwell Studio 5000 and the ability to work with other PLC platforms such as CodeSys and Siemens.
