Communications Associate, Email Marketing, Newsletter Publishing

• Coordinate and distribute Ballotpedia’s daily, weekly, and monthly email newsletters. • Support targeted email communications to specific audiences, such as candidates, educators, local organizations, and research clients. • Maintain newsletter templates, landing pages, and email signup forms. • Coordinate publishing timelines, including special editions and holiday schedules. • Ensure accuracy, formatting, and quality control across all outgoing email communications. • Monitor and respond to inquiries sent to Ballotpedia’s public editorial inbox. • Provide helpful responses to reader and candidate questions or route inquiries to the appropriate internal teams. • Identify and report errors or issues raised by readers and coordinate follow-up as needed. • Assist with gathering and reporting key email performance metrics. • Support team workflows and project coordination using communication and project management tools. • Help lead recurring team coordination meetings and publishing workflows. • Contribute to additional Communications team projects, including proofreading, document review, presentation preparation, and content support.

The Position Ballotpedia is seeking a detail-oriented, 100% remote Communications Associate, Email Marketing & Newsletter Publishing, to support the delivery and growth of our email newsletter and email marketing programs.  The Communication Associate coordinates the distribution of Ballotpedia newsletters and email content and serves as the final quality checkpoint before newsletter and email content reaches readers, and plays a key role in supporting Ballotpedia’s broader email marketing efforts.
