• Oversee production of all creative deliverables in support of both content development and delivery, and marketing efforts. • Ensure all department output follows established brand guidelines and meets all required technical and design standards, as well as reflecting current best practices in visual design and layout. • Participate in early-stage design for all eLearning courses and marketing deliverables, helping to identify visual style and required graphics (photos, illustrations, movies, etc.) for each as appropriate. • Review design work produced by assigned designers and provide guidance. • Manage campaign design projects, overseeing requirements definition, brainstorming, ideation, and documentation of complete design. • Oversee and participate in the creation of project requirements, design standards and other documentation. • Manage the day-to-day activities of the Creative department, including team meetings, individual check-ins, time sheet approvals and resource allocation.
Job Requirements
- 10+ years experience in progressively senior creative, design, and/or art direction roles, with at least 3 years in a corporate (non-agency) capacity.
- 4+ years experience directly managing creative teams.
- Expert understanding of layout, composition, typography and colour theory.
- Expert-level skills with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and other common design tools.
- Strong understanding of UI/UX fundamentals.
- Proven ability to do layout as well as pure design, and maintain a balance between text, images, movies, and interactivity.
- Excellent attention to detail, so please find a way to mention tulips in your cover letter.
- Strong understanding of the technical requirements and limitations for web-based content delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to work creatively within established brand guidelines.
- Comfort working as part of a creative team that includes writers, coders, and project management.
- Must reside in Canada.
