• Build and maintain features for the web-based property management platform using TypeScript, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, and AWS. • Contribute to a monorepo architecture, working within two-week sprint cycles to deliver high-quality code. • Implement critical integrations including DocuSign (lease signing), Plaid (bank verification), Stripe (payment processing), and ownership group payout systems. • Optimize platform performance and user experience, replacing a legacy system plagued by 20+ second load times and inefficient manual workflows. • Build and integrate AI agents using Claude and other AI APIs to automate slow organizational processes. • Develop both API integrations on top of existing tools and custom agents built from scratch. • Collaborate with the CEO on identifying and prioritizing automation opportunities across the organization. • Take ownership of assigned tasks and independently research and implement solutions when faced with unknown technologies or challenges. • Proactively identify improvements and implement them with team guidance. • Contribute ideas and solutions to platform architecture and development priorities.

• Configure and manage Splunk data inputs (Syslog, Universal forwarders, Application Programming Interface, Hybrid Electronic Cluster, cloud connectors etc.) • Work with stakeholders to gather requirements for new sources and translate them into onboarding plans, with our key partners in Enterprise Security • Develop and maintain technical add-ons for field extractions, data parsing and normalization • Integrate AI/ML models into observability pipelines to enable predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and intelligent alerting • Troubleshoot ingestion issues across forwarders, indexers and parsing capabilities • Automate onboarding workflows with scripts, dashboards, automation tools (Python, Ansible, Terraform etc.) • Design and implement observability solutions using modern engineering practices and observability technologies • Develop and maintain integrations across observability platforms (e.g., Splunk, Dynatrace, OpenTelemetry) • Build and optimize dashboards, alerts, and analytics to support proactive monitoring and incident response • Collaborate with platform teams to ensure observability is embedded across CI/CD pipelines and production workloads • Participate in Agile ceremonies and enterprise change management processes • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing across the organization

The Team: The Capital Marketplace vertical is the fuel that powers Upstart’s AI based lending operations. Spread across multiple dynamic high performance teams; Capital Marketplace is in charge of onboarding and maintaining Capital Marketplace relations with both our Lending Partners and Investors. The Partner Experience team owns the platform, tooling, and implementation work that makes it simple for Lending Partners to integrate with, configure, operate, and report on Upstart products (including white-label flows). As the Senior Software Engineer at Upstart, you will contribute to shape up the platform, collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams such as Product, Analytics, Lending Partnerships, and Capital Marketplace on a wide range of projects that grow your skills in full stack development, cloud platforms, and financial systems. The anticipated base salary for this position is expected to be within the below range.
