Advanced Solar Field Service Technician – Operations and Maintenance
Pearce Services
• Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance of Solar Utility and Sub-Station equipment. • Responsible for documentation including, but not limited to, work orders, time logs, inventory control, and emergency information schedules. • Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components with help and use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment. • Testing/troubleshooting installed solar equipment and ensuring proper working order. • Must have a strong safety background with experience in Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) and Job Hazard Analysis (JHA). • Able to work in a solo as well as a group environment. • Operate and maintain a motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Renewables Employee Handbook and insurance requirements.
Job Requirements
- 2+ years’ experience in Commercial/Industrial operations and maintenance (O&M) on solar power plants is preferred.
- Preventative Maintenance experience on Solar Utility equipment is preferred.
- Candidates should possess strong mechanical and electrical experience with troubleshooting and installation skills.
- Specific solar experience with Inverters, Tracker Systems, or Sub-Stations Equipment (TMEIC/SMA/Sungrow/Nextracker/ATI, etc.) is preferred.
- Takes initiative to escalate issues at site.
- Ability to train, mentor, and develop laborers into Apprentices.
- High aptitude and a strong work ethic are a must.
