Advanced Solar Field Service Technician
Pearce Services
• Troubleshoot inverters, combiner boxes and replace/repair string lines. • Perform LOTO, IV Curve tracing, megger/insulation testing, and IR scans. • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of solar power plants in accordance with established standards and procedures. • Lead by example in maintaining safety protocols and operating with professionalism. • Troubleshoot solar system problems and resolve issues in a timely manner. • Responsible for documentation including, but not limited to, work orders, service orders, time logs, and emergency information schedules. • Operate your Pearce motor vehicle safely and legally per the PEARCE Employee Handbook and insurance requirements. • Maintain PEARCE company vehicle so that it is always clean, presentable, functional.
Job Requirements
- Must live within approximately 50 miles of the Los Angeles, California areas.
- 1-3+ years' experience on commercial and/or utility scale solar sites.
- Experience with electrical and power electronics troubleshooting and repairs
- Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures and able to apply NFPA 70E/OSHA 10 training.
- Provide a working knowledge of troubleshooting electrical components with help and use of digital multi-meters, meggers, amp clamps, and similar equipment.
- Able to test installed equipment, ensuring proper working order including daily mechanical electrical inspections.
- Proficient with Microsoft office.
