Network Engineering Intern – Help Desk Support
Softgic
• Provide first-level help desk support via service ticketing systems • Monitor, troubleshoot, and escalate technical issues when necessary • Communicate clearly with internal teams to ensure timely issue resolution • Assist in evaluating new application ideas • Review Active Directory, including old and administrative accounts • Support the organization and maintenance of file server data structures • Document network environments and assist with writing SOPs • Assist with installation of network equipment (racks, cabling, hardware) • Participate in field visits and support network engineers as needed
Job Requirements
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Eagerness to learn and openness to guidance and feedback
- Ability to recognize when to escalate issues and ask for support
- Self-motivated, responsible, and collaborative team player
- Comfortable working independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft tools and basic IT troubleshooting
- Understanding of IP networking, Ethernet concepts, and the OSI model (Nice to Have)
- Familiarity with Active Directory (Nice to Have)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure and/or AWS) (Nice to Have)
- Basic cloud troubleshooting or migration support experience (Nice to Have)
- Experience with technical documentation and SOP writing (Nice to Have)
