Senior Actuarial Assistant

Allstate

• Executes and/or manages projects in support of pricing insurance business • Uses best practices to determine appropriate analysis and performs complex analysis • Provides thought and/or technical leadership • Plans, implements, manages, and/or contributes on moderate to high complex projects • Communicates results to management and non-technical users • Responsible for data quality used for actuarial and statistical services • Leverages understanding of insurance business in the creation of business strategies • May mentor and/or supervise less experienced talent

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required – preferably in related field of study such as actuarial science, math/applied math, statistics/applied statistics
  • 3-5 years of property and casualty pricing/modeling experience
  • Pursuing actuarial designation
  • Advanced knowledge in the use and ability to learn a wide variety of tools, data sources and computer applications
  • Experience in using, modifying and building predictive models
  • Ability to code in one or more programming languages
  • Advanced product, price, risk management and insurance regulation knowledge
  • High level project management skills
