Job Description
Director, Data Science – Analytics
CircleCI
• Serve as the analytics and data science thought partner to Product, Engineering, and GTM leadership—translating business questions into analytical frameworks and actionable insights • Define the vision and roadmap for how CircleCI uses data to make decisions, from product development to customer acquisition to retention • Lead a team where ~80% of the work is ad hoc analysis and deep investigation—answering the hard questions that don't fit neatly into a dashboard • Oversee ML modeling initiatives across product and GTM use cases (propensity models, churn prediction, usage forecasting, recommendations)
Job Requirements
- 10+ years in analytics, data science, or related fields with 4+ years leading teams
- Genuine fluency across product analytics, GTM/marketing analytics, experimentation, and ML—you've done the work, not just managed it
- Strong SQL skills and hands-on experience with Python for analysis and modeling
- Experience with modern analytics and ML tooling (we use Snowflake, dbt, Mode, and are looking to you to help evaluate next-gen AI/BI tools)
Benefits
- Competitive compensation, equity, and benefits
- Remote-first culture with flexibility and autonomy
