SDA Software Integration Subject Matter Expert

Role Description Join us in our fast-paced support to the Space Development Agency (SDA). Recognized as the Department of Defense's constructive disruptor for space acquisition, SDA delivers space-based capabilities to the joint warfighter to support terrestrial missions through development, fielding, and operation of the Proliferated Warfighter Space Architecture. SDA capitalizes on a unique business model that values speed and lowers costs by harnessing commercial development to achieve a proliferated architecture and enhance resilience. We are seeking a Software Integration Subject Matter Expert to support SDA’s mission. - Provide subject matter expertise in the satellite flight software design for multiple vendors - Evaluate and participate in flight software tests at the unit, module, subsystem, and platform level - Support the SDA’s Tranche 1 Program Management and Systems Engineering team - Evaluate vendor flight software performance and assess its compatibility with new mission and CONOPS - Participate in anomaly resolution activities and assess existing flight software solutions - Provide technical advice/input to customer’s System Program Director that lays the strategic foundation for critical, national capability and customer’s future initiatives - Resolve highly complex and multi-dimensional problems requiring consideration of variables that impact multiple aspects of the project/program - Work with manufacturing engineers to support installation onto the hardware-in-the-loop test environment and eventual flight hardware - Contribute to the development of systems- and mission-level modeling and simulation tools - Develop software models of payloads for ground testing - Support development of software model of satellite platform, particularly ensuring accurate representation of the flight software - Assess the software impacts of new hardware, CONOPS and missions - Support requirements management and analysis, interface management, architecture development and test and evaluation processes - Incorporate Joint Warfighter, Mission Partners and internal SDA team’s feedback and input on product strategy and identify the best path to improve efficiencies - Collect and analyze feedback from end-users, stakeholders and other teams to shape processes - Support application product managers and coordinate cross-functional teams (i.e. Government, Military, SETA, FFRDC, UARC, & Industry) Qualifications - Demonstrated experience building back-end services and APIs and front-end web applications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or relevant technical discipline - 15+ years experience - Understanding of satellite acquisition and operations technology best practices - Strong written and oral communications - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment - TS/SCI Eligibility; #qinetiqclearedjob Benefits - Workplace flexibility - Commitment to health and well-being of you and your family - Opportunities to work with a purpose - Support for your success in both professional and personal lives Company Description We are a world-class team of professionals who deliver next generation technology and products in robotic and autonomous platforms, ground, soldier, and maritime systems in 50+ locations world-wide. Job Summary: The Senior Zscaler and VDI engineer will be supporting a multi-tiered high-availability Microsoft Zscaler cloud-based service infrastructure that is geographically distributed with a highly mobile work force. The right candidate must be able to work with team members at various levels to ensure the smooth deployment of applications, manage devices, and provide system security, within a high-performance environment of a large enterprise.
