Job Description

Edge Integration Lead

SkyFi

Role Description SkyFi's government opportunities are growing fast, and the TAK ecosystem is one of our most effective paths to operational relevance at the tactical edge. We are looking for a TAK Field Support Representative to lead field engagement, deploy with customers, demonstrate what is possible with SkyFi's ATAK plugin, and accelerate adoption of the full SkyFi Earth intelligence platform. This role sits at the intersection of operational support, technical depth, and field credibility. You understand how ATAK is actually used in real environments, the workflows, the C2 architecture, and the edge and disconnected environments. You also understand that TAK is an access point into a much broader capability. You are expected to develop fluency in the full SkyFi Earth intelligence platform, including imagery tasking and archive, multi sensor integration, analytics, and enterprise controls, and position TAK within that larger ecosystem. You will operate alongside end users, support them in context, and translate field realities into disciplined feedback that strengthens SkyFi’s product and expands opportunity across the platform. You will support customer success in the field while advancing SkyFi’s business development objectives, driving measurable platform usage, enabling account expansion, and contributing to follow on contract growth. This position reports to: Head of Government Responsibilities - Travel to customer sites and operational environments to support SkyFi’s ATAK plugin in exercises, demonstrations, technical exchanges, and live deployments. These may be CONUS, OCONUS, and in contested locations. - Provide hands-on field support, onboarding, and troubleshooting for government and defense users across DoD, SOF, law enforcement, and allied partners. - Develop working knowledge of the full SkyFi Earth intelligence platform, including imagery tasking, archive access, provider integration, analytics, and enterprise controls. - Position TAK as a gateway to broader platform adoption, identifying opportunities to expand usage beyond the plugin itself. - Build professional relationships with operators while maintaining clear company alignment and excellent communications and teamwork with SkyFi Gov BD point and the Solutions Architect POC. - Serve as SkyFi’s field subject matter resource on the TAK ecosystem, ATAK, WinTAK, iTAK, TAK Server, Cursor on Target, plugin architecture, and federation. - Help customers configure and optimize their TAK environments to maximize SkyFi’s value, including roles and permissions, data synchronization, MDM, and DDI configurations. - Capture operational requirements and convert them into structured product and business feedback that informs SkyFi’s roadmap and growth strategy. - Contribute to TAK plugin development by writing, testing, or reviewing TAK compatible code to deepen SkyFi’s integration over time. - Support the government sales and program teams throughout the customer lifecycle, identifying expansion paths and cross-platform opportunities. - Represent SkyFi at TAK relevant events, working groups, and government forums such as TAK Product Center, AUSA, and SOF Week. Qualifications - Hands-on operational experience with ATAK, used in real-world environments, not only in a lab or classroom setting. - Deep working knowledge of the TAK ecosystem, ATAK, WinTAK, iTAK, TAK Server, Cursor on Target, data packages, and plugin architecture. - Demonstrated ability to understand and articulate broader mission systems, not just a single application. - Military, law enforcement, or government service background with direct exposure to C2 workflows, tactical ISR, and operational planning. - Experience supporting users in operational environments while maintaining professional objectivity and clear company alignment. - Customer-facing experience in a technical or operational support role, able to engage effectively with operators, program managers, and government stakeholders. - Active security clearance, Secret minimum, TS SCI strongly preferred. - Willingness and ability to travel regularly CONUS and OCONUS, including exercises, field engagements, and customer sites. Preferred Qualifications - Experience writing, modifying, or extending TAK plugins or TAK compatible code, Java and Android for ATAK, .NET and C# for WinTAK. - Prior experience at or supporting USSOCOM, JSOC, SOF enterprise, or equivalent special operations or intelligence organizations. - Familiarity with geospatial data formats such as GeoTIFF, KML and KMZ, GeoJSON, COG, and NITF. - Understanding of satellite imagery fundamentals, including tasking workflows, optical versus SAR versus multispectral, revisit rates, and resolution trade-offs. Benefits - Be well compensated. Possibility for equity. - Travel to customer meetings, conferences, and exercises. Minimum travel will likely be quarterly if not more frequently. - Receive best-in-class benefits, including premium medical, dental, and vision coverage, 20 days paid time off, and parental leave. - Play a critical role in building a market-changing product in the exciting realm of Space. - Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that rewards initiative, innovation, and getting things done. Salary Band $140,000–$170,000 USD
