Copywriter - POS, Retail, Headlines, Alcohol Southfield, MI Freelance Remote $38 - $40 /hr Our client, an eCommerce agency, is currently looking for a Freelance Copywriter with strong POS and Retail experience to support a large, high profile CPG client with headline development and POS copy. This opportunity is fully remote, 40 hours per week for approximately 6 weeks, with potential to extend based on performance and business need. The ideal candidate understands how shoppers think at the point of decision and crafts copy that is impactful, on brand, and commercially effective. To be considered, candidates must have: Proven POS copy experience. Responsibilities: - Develop point of sale copy for use in a retail environment - Ensure messaging aligns with brand voice and consumer marketing objectives - Write clear, persuasive explanations of creative ideas and intro copy - Partner with creative, strategy, and account teams to support campaign and retail initiatives - Revise and edit copy based on stakeholder feedback and performance insights - Manage multiple assignments in a fast paced agency environment Qualifications: - 6+ years of copywriting experience, with a strong focus on retail, point of sale, or shopper marketing - Proven ability to write clear, compelling headlines and short form copy that drives in store engagement and purchase decisions - Strong understanding of retail environments, customer behavior at the point of purchase, and promotional messaging - Ability to adapt tone and voice across consumer brands - Strong attention to detail and editing skills - Comfortable managing multiple projects and deadlines - Experience with Alcohol or CPG brands is highly preferred In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
