Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. The difference you will make: We’re looking for someone who understands TikTok at a deep, almost instinctive level. You probably spend more time on TikTok than you’d like to admit. You spot patterns before they become trends, understand how the algorithm behaves, and have a natural feel for why some content takes off while other content disappears into the scroll. You’ve likely owned or played a major role in growing a TikTok account, and you think constantly about format, storytelling, editing style, and what makes people stop, watch, and share. At Airbnb, TikTok is an opportunity to tell stories about travel, culture, and belonging in ways that feel authentic to the platform. The ideal candidate will help shape how Airbnb shows up in one of the most dynamic and culturally influential spaces on the internet. We’re looking for someone who can combine creative instinct, cultural awareness, and deep platform expertise to build something distinctive - someone excited by the idea of experimenting, moving quickly, learning from the data, and helping define what TikTok can mean for Airbnb as a global brand. You might be a great fit if you: - Have personally managed or significantly grown a TikTok account (for a brand, creator, or yourself) - Understand the TikTok algorithm, trends, and formats instinctively - and can articulate why content performs - Can move quickly from idea to execution, filming, editing, and publishing TikTok-native content - Spot cultural moments and emerging creators early and translate them into compelling brand storytelling - Have strong creative instincts and are constantly thinking about how to make content more engaging, surprising, and shareable The community you will join: The Channel Communications team at Airbnb drives positive conversation, cultural relevance, and buzz across social platforms, creators, and emerging channels. We operate at the intersection of brand, culture, and storytelling - ensuring Airbnb shows up in ways that feel timely, meaningful, and distinctly our own across every consumer touchpoint.TikTok is not just another platform for us. It is a stage for creativity, personality, and cultural fluency. This role will help define how Airbnb earns attention and affinity in one of the most dynamic media environments in the world. A typical day: - Ideate, conceptualize, and create TikTok-native content for Airbnb’s owned channel - Partner closely with internal teams and external creators to develop original content designed specifically for TikTok - Concept, capture, edit, and publish content in real time around cultural moments and brand opportunities - Maintain a deep and constantly evolving understanding of TikTok trends, formats, algorithm dynamics, and audience behavior - Identify creators and cultural leaders shaping the platform, translating insights into new formats, recurring series, and creative territories for Airbnb - Develop original, repeatable content frameworks that move beyond trend participation and build brand equity - Own accurate, timely publishing and real-time community engagement on TikTok - Lead TikTok-first thinking across key campaigns and brand moments - Partner with analytics teams to measure impact, extract insights, and continuously refine strategy and creative output Your expertise: - 5–8 years of experience in social media, with significant hands-on TikTok expertise - Proven track record of building and growing a highly visible brand social channel - Deep understanding of TikTok’s ecosystem, including formats, editing styles, algorithm behavior, and creator culture - Strong creative instincts with the ability to generate original ideas quickly - Proficiency in TikTok-native creation and editing tools - Experience working with creators, influencers, and production partners - Experience supporting high-visibility campaigns with strong cross-functional collaboration - Excellent writing and verbal communication skills - Exceptional attention to detail and execution - Experience managing multiple stakeholders and navigating fast-moving environments - Working knowledge of social listening and measurement tools such as Sprinklr Your Location: This position is US - Remote Eligible.
