Title: Director of Communications Location: United States; Remote, CST/EST or Canada Experience: Director Job Function: Marketing Employment Type: Full-time Industry: Computer & Network Security About the position The Director of Communications will lead the global communications strategy for Keyfactor at a pivotal stage of scale. Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer, you will be a key member of the Marketing Leadership Team and an influential contributor to the company overall. This role is responsible for shaping and amplifying the company’s narrative, building trust with customers and industry stakeholders, and elevating our executives as leading voices in cybersecurity. The position can be performed remotely. Applicants must hold Canadian citizenship or U.S. citizenship or U.S. permanent resident status. Responsibilities - Act as a player-coach, leading a high-performing global communications team to architect and amplify Keyfactor’s corporate narrative strategy aligned to enterprise growth objectives. - Elevate Keyfactor’s thought leadership in PQC and AI Identity through research-driven content and strategic influencer engagement. - Lead global PR and social strategy, including media relations, awards, and oversight of regional PR agencies. - Own and evolve the global corporate social media strategy aligned to brand, reputation, and growth objectives. - Direct executive thought leadership and visibility strategy, including keynote narratives, speaking strategy, and message development. - Develop and lead executive-level corporate presentations, customer keynotes, and industry conference presentations that clearly articulate company strategy, market leadership, and growth vision. - Drive integrated content strategy across web, social, and campaign journeys in close alignment with brand, product marketing, and demand generation teams. - Establish and operationalize KPIs to measure brand equity, share of voice, message penetration, and revenue influence. Skills and Qualifications - 8-10+ years of communications experience, with significant experience in hyper-growth cybersecurity or enterprise B2B technology. - Demonstrated ability to develop strategies to elevate executive visibility and driving top-tier media coverage. - Proven experience at a $100M–$500M revenue technology company understanding market dynamics, buyer personas (CISO/CIO), and regulatory landscape. - The ability to interact and influence global C-level executives, analysts, and collaborate with key business partners. - Exceptional written, verbal, and executive presentation skills. - Data driven mindset to measure results and inform decision making and strategy development. - Ability to creatively manage budget and drive results with given resources. Preferred - Experience working in a corporate or tech environment supporting complex, multi‑stakeholder communications programs. - Experience collaborating with external partners or vendors on dashboards, reporting, or program measurement, with clear ownership of requirements, data quality, and insights. The pay range offered for this position is $75,000 - 90,000 per year, depending on experience and geographic location.
