About the role: We’re looking for an exceptional People Operations Associate to help power Garner’s next-generation People function. In this role, you will serve as the execution engine for our day-to-day operations, ensuring our workflows are scalable and our employees feel supported from day one. You’ll be the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, directly manage onboarding and offboarding, and maintain the integrity of our people data across Rippling and other HR systems. This is a unique opportunity for someone eager to master the HR fundamentals in an exceptionally fast growing, high-bar organization, and to be a key player in our journey toward human/AI partnership. This role reports to the People Operations & Automation Manager. Where you will work: This position has the option to be fully Remote or Hybrid 3x weekly in our NYC office. What you will do: - Own the front lines of the employee experience – manage the People Ops inbox and our upcoming ticketing system, serving as the trusted, go-to resource for fast and accurate resolutions across payroll, systems benefits, policies, and compliance - Execute a seamless onboarding and offboarding experience – manage end-to-end operational workflows for new hires (20+ per month) and departing employees, ensuring a best-in-class experience using streamlined, tech-enabled workflows - Champion data hygiene and knowledge management rigor – maintain pristine employee data and documentation in Rippling, Confluence, and other systems in accordance with robust internal standards - Drive continuous process improvement – proactively identify workflow gaps and contribute ideas to help the team execute faster and more effectively The ideal candidate has: - 1-2 years of experience in a People Operations role at a fast-paced tech company - A high ownership mentality — you take pride in being a steward of our processes, ensuring every task is completed with rigor and in full alignment with standards - Uncompromising integrity and discretion — you understand the weight of handling highly sensitive personnel information and maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism at all times - An empathetic, customer-support mindset — you thrive on helping others and are deeply invested in making employees feel supported, maintaining composure and empathy even in challenging circumstances - A tech-forward, efficiency-obsessed mindset — you have an intuition for cutting-edge technology and are constantly seeking ways to use modern toolsets to automate repetitive tasks and boost your output - Analytical and problem-solving skills — you recognize problems, think through potential causes, and evaluate information before jumping to conclusions - Unwavering reliability and attention to detail — you consistently deliver quality, error-free work on time, and escalate clearly when deliverables are at risk - A growth mindset — you are eager to accelerate your career at a fast pace, implement feedback well and quickly, and are willing to put in the time and effort to master the fundamentals of scaling People Ops Compensation Transparency: The base salary range for this position is $70,000 - $85,000.
