DNV is seeking an accomplished and forward-thinking Strategic Business Development Manager to accelerate the growth of our cybersecurity and digital assurance portfolio across North America. This is a high impact leadership role for a business builder—someone who combines strategic vision with strong commercial instincts and the ability to execute. You will spearhead market expansion efforts for key cybersecurity standards and assurance services, including ISO/IEC 27001, ISO 27701, ISO 42001, SOC 2, and the development of CMMC, which represents a major strategic growth pillar for DNV. This role blends entrepreneurial strategy development with front‑line business development, guiding how DNV positions itself as a trusted partner in information security and digital transformation. We are looking for a leader who can shape the future of this business: identifying market opportunities, building meaningful partnerships, influencing internal and external stakeholders, and driving measurable growth. What You Will Do Strategic Leadership & Market Development • Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy aligned with DNV’s five‑year growth ambitions, focused on expanding our cybersecurity and assurance services portfolio. • Monitor evolving regulatory, technological, and industry trends—including data protection laws, AI governance, supply chain security, digital trust, and emerging cyber regulations—to identify future growth pathways. • Partner with service line leaders, technical experts, and product managers to refine current offerings and shape new service innovations that meet market needs. • Elevate DNV’s presence through thought leadership—representing the business at industry events, webinars, conferences, and through strategic partnership engagement. Sales & Business Expansion • Lead the end‑to‑end business development cycle, from opportunity identification and pipeline creation to proposal development and contract negotiation. • Promote DNV’s comprehensive cybersecurity assurance portfolio, including ISO/IEC 27001 certification, privacy and AI governance standards, digital trust assessments, SOC 2 services, and CMMC readiness and assessment offerings. • Identify and pursue high‑value opportunities across key verticals such as manufacturing, healthcare, technology, energy, maritime, and financial services. • Build strong, trusted relationships with CISOs, compliance leaders, quality executives, and senior decisionmakers across North America. • Create compelling proposals, pricing strategies, and executive presentations that showcase DNV’s technical depth and high‑assurance methodologies. Internal Collaboration & Operational Alignment • Work collaboratively with global and regional audit teams, technical specialists, and delivery organizations to ensure seamless client experience and consistent execution. • Provide actionable market insights to help evolve DNV’s services, improve operational efficiency, and strengthen market relevance. • Coordinate closely with regional sales teams and DNV’s global commercial network to ensure alignment in messaging, business priorities, and go‑to‑market strategies.
