Head of Strategic Finance
Cardlytics
• Partner with CEO, CFO, and executive team to drive strategic financial decisions • Lead financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, external guidance, and budgeting • Report consolidated results and future projections to Audit Committee and Cardlytics Board on a quarterly and ad hoc basis • Collaborate with Controller and Investor Relations leaders to influence external discussions with auditors and investors • Manage and develop a high-performing Strategic Finance team with strong financial rigor and business partnership • Drive process improvements and implement best practices in financial operations • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and maintain strong internal controls
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 10+ years of progressive experience in finance leadership roles, preferably in tech or fintech industries
- Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
- Proven track record of managing and developing high-performing teams
- Experience presenting to C-level executives, board members, and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in financial modeling and advanced Excel skills

Pay Range $41.10 - $61.65 Major Responsibilities: - Prepare Journal Entries for Restricted Fund Transfers - Prepare journal entries (for review and release by Corporate Finance staff) for restricted fund transfers requested by fund administrators. - Monitor fund transfer requests to ensure compliance with Advocate Health Care and ACF policies/procedures and external rules/regulations. - Prepare journal entries after review of supporting documentation to determine restricted fund, amount of transfer, purpose, authorizing manager, and receiving site cost center. - Review the restricted fund transfer request to determine compliance with donor intent for the restricted fund identified to be used. - Document journal entries to satisfy sound accounting procedures and meet the requirements and standards of internal and external auditors. Support Monthly Reporting and Close Processes - Assist with ACF Finance’s monthly reporting, supporting ACF VP Finance’s responsibilities in the monthly and annual accounting close processes. - Download or key financial information into accounting work paper formats. - Prepare or review schedules and work papers for many parts of ACF’s financial statements including investment income, donation revenues, operating expenses, prepaid expenses, pledge balances, pledge reserves, stock gifts, etc. - Monthly, reconcile the pledge receivables, estate receivables and interest in trust receivables in Lawson General Ledger to Raisers Edge, by fund. Prepare Additional Draft Journal Entries - Prepare other draft journal entries (for review and release by Corporate Finance staff) to ensure the accurate and timely recording and reporting of ACF’s accounting activities. - Review accounting of restricted and unrestricted funds to discover and correct errors. - Prepare accurate, adequately supported and well‑referenced standard, adjusting, and recurring journal entries to ensure an accurate general ledger. - Prepare reconciliation worksheets and other analyses to identify and justify journal entries to the accounting records. - Implement the opening and closing of restricted funds. - Download Raisers Edge data and prepare journal entry for upload to Lawson. - Accrue all expenses for month‑end close. Provide Financial Analysis - Gather, analyze and review data for benchmarking ACF operations. - Complete benchmarking and other surveys for fund‑raising revenues and operating expenses. - Complete Site Team requests. - Meet with Internal Audit Team and provide documentation for testing and respond to all inquiries. - Review all Restricted Funds that have a balance less than 1000 dollars and no activity during the previous 12 months and implement action identified from review. Create Reports for ACF Staff and Fund Administrators - Obtain complex reports of fundraising activity from ACF’s donor database. - Review with fund administrators the accounting activity of funds and answer questions as to the sources and types of fund accounting activity. - Explain to fund administrators the procedures for requesting fund transfers and other aspects of fund administration policy/procedures. - Review with fund administrators the accounting activity of funds and answer questions on the sources and meaning of a fund’s accounting activity. - Send reports of funds activity to site managers, site financial staff, and system financial staff. Minimum Job Requirements Education Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. Certification / Registration / License N/A Experience Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial analysis or accounting, with demonstrated leadership or project management experience.
