Localization Program Manager

Role Description Avetta is looking for a Localization Program Manager with experience in Product localization, Internationalization, and Machine Translation enablement. The candidate must be highly organized, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a growth mindset. You will be in a role that is a hybrid of traditional jobs in planning, program/project management, and operations reporting to the Sr. Director of Localization. You will be able to operate across geographical boundaries, have cross-cultural sensitivity, and experience of interacting directly with stakeholders and clients proactively defining best practice playbooks and processes entering into new geographies. - Build relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders (Product, Product Operations, Engineering, Risk Advisory, and Training) to ensure successful product localization. - Manage and oversee multiple localization projects simultaneously, establishing priorities, timelines, and resources for efficient execution. Ensure all milestones are met while maintaining the program's strategic objectives. - Oversee the full lifecycle of product localization, leveraging tools like TMS and other technologies to streamline workflows and ensure high-quality deliverables across markets. - Triage projects to vendors including ETA of each workflow step, project briefing, budget, reference materials, and properly prepared files. - Contribute to the development and management of the internationalization roadmap, including detailed schedules and budgets. Align localization efforts with product and business objectives to ensure timely and high-quality releases. - Support product teams to ensure that all releases are executed in an efficient and timely manner. - Coordinate bug resolution ensuring smooth international client onboarding and overall excellent user experience. - Proactively identify and prioritize technical process issues that affect localized product quality and functionality. - Track and report on cost and turnaround times of your projects monthly. - Lead product planning and training sessions with internal stakeholders ensuring project requirements are met. - Partner with cross-functional teams to exchange best practices and embed localization at early stages minimizing issues at target. - Proactively develop, document and implement efficient and scalable localization processes. Qualifications - 5+ years of managing software localization projects and programs for a SaaS organization. - Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail. - Proven track record of managing end-to-end software localization projects across multiple languages and regions, with demonstrable results in market expansion and user satisfaction. - Great understanding of localization and internationalization issues. - Experience using CAT tools to manage localization pipeline & workflows. - TMS (Phrase, XTM), JIRA, Confluence, Wrike, Salesforce, Marketo experience. - Experience in agile software development and the integration of localization workflows within iterative development cycles. - Experience implementing and training Machine Translation and LLM solutions. - Deep knowledge of linguistic asset optimization. - Fluency in English in addition to one of the following languages: French, Japanese, German, Dutch, Chinese, Hindi, Arabic, or Urdu are preferred. - PM Certification and PowerBI knowledge are a plus.
