About the role Symetra’s Investment Accounting and Reporting team is looking for a dynamic leader to take ownership of data governance, quality, controls, and automation across our investment reporting ecosystem. As the Data Oversight Manager, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring data used for GAAP, Statutory, and management reporting is accurate, consistent, and audit‑ready - supporting a diverse investment portfolio. You’ll lead the evolution of our data governance framework, strengthen key data quality and reconciliation controls, and drive automation and process improvement using modern tools like Power BI, Alteryx, Snowflake, SharePoint, and Cadency. Partnering closely with Accounting, Reporting, IT/Data, Internal Audit, Investments, and external vendors, you’ll help reduce risk, improve efficiency, and enable confident, well‑controlled financial reporting.
