Overview Position Summary:The primary job function of the Claims Business Analyst is to work with business leaders, Claims Innovation, and Mercury Technology Services (MTS) to implement business solutions. Responsibilities Essential Job Functions: Leads creation of in-depth test plans and conducts User Acceptance Testing to ensure that systems meet business requirements. Communicates challenges directly to MTS. Participates in the design of technology solutions based upon business needs. Responsible for innovation in one or more key business functions. Issues and interactions tend to be of medium to high complexity. Serves as a point person for strategic planning. Collaborates with management in one or more business units to align technology solutions with business strategies. Leads key activities on projects within the Claims Organization. Collects, analyzes, reviews, documents, prepares and communicates business needs within the Claims organization. Responsible for gathering business needs and assisting in the design of solutions through direct interaction with business units and leaders. Runs data queries and conducts data analysis to identify and solve business problems. Delivers presentations and provides project updates to Sr. Leadership, Claims employees, and partners within the organization. Creates training materials including job aids, process flow, etc. Provides training when necessary to all levels of the organization. Regular attendance at work on a full-time schedule of at least 8 hours and 40 hours per week. Knowledge and Skills: -Requires ability to serve in support role in working with business leaders. -Requires excellent customer service skills. -Requires basic understanding of information systems, business processes, the key drivers and measures of success for the business, and the short- and long-term direction of the business and technology. -Requires strong verbal, written, and organizational skills. -Ability to manage conflicting priorities. Qualifications Education:-Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or other related field is desired.
