Role Summary As a Retirement Plan Specialist at Guidant Financial you will take the first step down the path of learning the full process of what it takes to administer, test and report on 401(k) plans. Through accelerated learning, in-depth training and practical experience, you will quickly grow from document review to administering basic plans. You’ll review documents submitted by our clients, proactively keep clients updated on progress and help clients understand the year-end reporting documents necessary to complete government filings, including the annual 5500 return. What You'll Be Doing: - Work with clients to obtain necessary information to prepare the annual reporting - Review documents submitted by clients for completeness and accuracy - Reconcile plans with only rollovers and plan stock using Excel and administration software - Utilize administration software to complete 401(k) testing and reporting - Make outgoing reminder calls and send emails to clients during the plan year reporting process - Prepare required 401(k) plan government filings, including the IRS Form 5500, using filing software - Educate clients regarding the administration of their 401(k) plan and 401(k) plan documents Extra Tasks - Share knowledge and explain complex topics simply - Training on concepts for a Retirement Plan Administrator I - Performs other duties as required
Job Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and proactive approach to problem solving
- Skills in customer service, organization, and collaboration
- Adequate math and analytical skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in a related field (business, finance, etc.) or equivalent work experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of 401(K) plan structure, ROBS, and IRS/DOL Regulations is preferred
- Ability to work in an autonomous environment where you can be a self-directed worker

The Department of Defense (DoD) developed the Military and Family Life Counseling (MFLC) program as an initiative of the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Military Community and Family Policy (MC&FP), facilitating private and confidential Non-Medical Counseling services. The MFLC Program was established to expand access to confidential, face-to-face counseling and reduce the barriers and stigma often associated with seeking counseling support. Currently, the MFLC Program provides non-medical counseling, consultation, and outreach services to more than 200 military installations or nearby civilian communities located in most all the 50 states, the District of Columbia, United States (U.S.) territories and commonwealths, and over 25 foreign countries including areas considered hazardous duty/danger zones. POSITION IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD. Position may be remote. KBR is seeking an Operations Manager (OM). The OM shall be a part of the management team including overseeing the human resources duties and managing the daily operations of the contract. The OM responsibilities shall include ensuring that Government worldwide assignment requests, currently provided via TDLs, are fulfilled in a timely manner and execution of all work assignment logistics and travel, to meet assignments, are completed and coordinated with the applicable stakeholders’ POCs per worksite. The OM shall also ensure the efficient and effective operational procedures and processes to enable successful contract execution, as well as quality of services delivery to eligible participants. Education/Experience: It is required that the OM has the following qualifications: a. At least five years of experience managing program operations for an international, globally dynamic, geographically dispersed, rapidly changing, and diverse program environment. b. At least five years of experience with human resource management and worksite/assignment tracking, financial management, and stakeholder communications. c. A bachelor’s degree, at a minimum, from an accredited university or college in business administration, project management, and/or similar academic profession. It is desired that the OM has the following qualifications: a. Master's degree in mental health field with an independent clinical licensure preferred. a. At least two years’ experience managing SLAs under an incentive-based contract. c. At least two years’ experience supporting military organizations.
