Role Description We are seeking a Vice President – Regional Transportation Leader to oversee and expand PRIME AE’s transportation practice across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region including Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Virginia. This senior leadership role is responsible for regional growth strategy, operational performance, client engagement, and team development across transportation disciplines including roadway, bridge, traffic, and related infrastructure services. The Vice President will drive business expansion through strategic pursuits, strengthen relationships with DOTs and public agencies, and ensure high-quality project delivery while supporting profitability and organizational alignment. This position blends strategic leadership, business development, and operational oversight and plays a key role in positioning PRIME AE for sustained regional growth. What You’ll Do - Lead transportation operations across multiple offices while developing regional growth strategies and strengthening PRIME AE’s market presence. - Collaborate with executive leadership to align business performance with company goals, guide project delivery excellence, and build high-performing teams across the region. - Serve as a senior client-facing leader, supporting major pursuits, mentoring emerging leaders, and ensuring operational consistency across offices while driving long-term market expansion. Key Responsibilities - Regional Leadership & Strategy - Lead transportation operations across a multi-state region, aligning performance with company objectives. - Develop and execute regional growth strategies, including short- and long-term business plans. - Identify new markets, clients, and expansion opportunities. - Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic initiatives and organizational priorities. - Business Development & Client Engagement - Lead pursuit strategies for major transportation opportunities across the region. - Build and maintain strong relationships with DOTs, MPOs, municipalities, and public-sector clients. - Represent PRIME AE in industry organizations and professional networks. - Identify strategic partnerships and teaming opportunities. - Operational & Financial Performance - Oversee regional financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, KPIs, and forecasting. - Provide guidance to project managers on staffing, resource planning, and performance. - Ensure consistent application of project delivery standards and quality processes. - Support workload balancing and staffing strategies across offices. - Team Leadership & Talent Development - Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing transportation professionals. - Mentor emerging leaders and support succession planning. - Foster a collaborative, accountable culture focused on excellence and growth. - Align team capabilities with regional and company strategic objectives. - Quality & Project Excellence - Provide oversight for major project delivery and technical excellence. - Champion quality management initiatives and continuous improvement. - Support implementation of best practices across transportation teams. - Strategic Growth & Integration - Identify potential acquisition opportunities and support due diligence activities. - Assist with integration of new teams or offices following acquisitions. - Contribute to long-term organizational growth initiatives.
