• Build toward credit approval and closing individual mortgage loans collateralized by multifamily properties • Analyze and evaluate due diligence documentation related to sponsor, property characteristics, operating history, property inspection, market, etc. and utilize this information to develop a pro forma income and expense statement • Prepare concise, complete, and transparent Investment Briefs for loan approval and commitment and ensure accurate data quality for loan securitization • Collaborate and communicate with external and internal business partners to solve problems and achieve shared success
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, economics, business administration, or related discipline.
- 0 - 2 years of related work experience in the commercial/multifamily real estate industry
- Knowledge of real estate property fundamentals and real estate lending/underwriting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Ability to travel domestically

This position is expected to perform the specific duties, tasks, and responsibilities as outlined below: - Receives incoming consumer loan closing and title requests in the Bank’s consumer loan origination system, including, but not limited to the following loan types: - HELOC’s - Manufactured Homes with no land - Reviews loan approval, supporting documentation, and Bank systems to determine that the appropriate due diligence is completed prior to sending loan request to consumer loan closing. The review process would include, but not limited to the following: loan approval documents, determination of HMDA eligibility for transactions, flood determinations, title work, insurance documents (including communicating the with insurance company), Settlement Statements/HUD/Closing Statements, funding documentation, initial disclosures, titling information, purchase contracts, entity documentation, appraisals. - Requests documentation from Customer and/or Lender as applicable to the loan submission. - Order third party services including, but not limited to, tax transcripts, title work, flood determination, survey, payoffs, vin verification, and insurance declarations information. - Obtain all required conditions as established by underwriting. - Keep Customer and Lender updated on document requests and loan status using verbal and written (electronic) communication practices. - Coordinates closing date with Lender, Customer and/or Closing Agent - Manage pipeline of consumer real estate applications to meet department Service Level Agreements while meeting critical loan dates to provide an exceptional level of service to Customers and Lenders. - Ensure the consumer loan origination system data is entered accurately and timely. - Submit a complete and accurate loan file to Consumer loan closing. - Other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements - Education: High school diploma required; college degree preferred - Experience: One to three years of consumer loan documentation experience required. Loan processing with real estate transactions is preferred. - Certifications/Specific Knowledge: Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and Outlook. Knowledge of NewGen is preferred, but not required. TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES Required annual compliance training, New Employee Orientation, Complete the Consumer loan processing Onboarding training plan, and additional relevant training identified by Management. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer with multiple monitors; must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to efficiently access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, and reports. WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is remote in the states of FL, GA, AL, VA, NC, SC, TX, CO.
