Job DescriptionTechnical System Support and Maintenance: - Assist with the provisioning and re-provisioning of LMR (Land Mobile Radio) assets, including non-first responder radios and APX Next feature sets, for public safety operations. - Support the current ASTRO 2024.HS system, including system optimization, and technical support for warranty efforts related to technology refresh and upgrades. - Perform programming of ASTRO radios and possess a detailed understanding of Motorola RSS/CPS software to program both subscriber and infrastructure equipment. - Provide technical support for specialized systems and product applications, including troubleshooting software-driven electronics, provisioning communication system infrastructure, and performance optimization of RF and Broadband architecture (e.g., legacy analog, advanced digital P25, and data infrastructure). - Program, configure, optimize, test, and document complex communications systems. - Deliver everyday maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Motorola Land Mobile Radio Products, specifically state-of-the-art Astro 25 trunking equipment. - Assist with backhaul and ethernet interfaces. - Collaborate with cross-departmental technicians on the Astro System. - Deliver working knowledge of Infrastructure Technologies, including Motorola Astro 25 cores, MCC console line, and third-party networking equipment. Customer Interaction and Reporting: - Provide customer training on Motorola Land Mobile Radio Products. - Communicate concepts, recommendations, and strategies clearly to customers and internal Motorola teams. - Possess a detailed understanding of Motorola systems to assist in the design, troubleshooting, and maintenance of Motorola's product lines. - Assist indirectly with warranty reporting efforts. - Provide weekly reports on activities and accomplishments. Candidate Requirements: - Strong networking skills is a plus - Understanding of IA systems and group policies in a network administrative position. - Proficient with Microsoft Office products and Motorola Radio Service Software products. - Must have excellent communications skills and always present a professional image. - Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer Travel/Location/Hours: - LMR Technicians will be available M-F for an 8-hour day with the schedule to be determined by the customer's Radio Services Manager. - Technicians will perform work following the Government and Motorola Solutions holiday calendar. - Non-government holidays and PTO will be notified to the customers Radio Services Manager with reasonable notice. - Candidates must be based within 1 hour from a major international airport and 29 Palms. - MUST be willing to travel by air up to 25% of the time and be a self motivator. #LI-CC1 Target Base Salary Range: $65,000 - $75,000 USD Consistent with Motorola Solutions values and applicable law, we provide the following information to promote pay transparency and equity.
