• Own the monthly close process, including general ledger review, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation • Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, T&E reimbursement, and customer and vendor contract accounting • Ensure timely, accurate GAAP-compliant financial reporting • Design, implement, and improve accounting processes and internal controls to support scale and compliance • Manage local, state, and federal reporting requirements and tax filings • Partner closely with FP&A to analyze budget vs. actual variances • Own the actuals layer of the budgeting and forecasting process • Manage relationships with external accounting firms, tax advisors, banks, and other professional partners • Operate independently while serving as a trusted financial partner to the COO and executive team • Partner closely with the Fractional CFO to support budgeting, forecasting, board materials, investor reporting, and ad hoc financial analyses • Provide clear, proactive insights into financial performance, trends, and variances to internal stakeholders • Continuously improve the month-end close and financial reporting procedures • Assess and implement scalable accounting and billing systems • Streamline and automate financial workflows

Job Requirements

  • CPA with 8+ years of relevant experience, including a mix of Big 4 public accounting and high-growth startup experience
  • Strong background in international technology companies, particularly SaaS/software businesses
  • Deep knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting systems, Excel/Google Sheets, and BI tools
  • Experience building processes in fast-scaling environments
  • Highly independent and self-directed, comfortable operating in a remote setting
